AT 600 AM CST...1200 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM IDA WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 30.3 NORTH...LONGITUDE 88.0 WEST OR ABOUT 25 MILES...40 KM...SOUTH OF MOBILE ALABAMA. IDA IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 9 MPH...15 KM/HR. THIS GENERAL MOTION WITH A DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED TODAY.
